Sports Premium
Sporting activities are a very important part of school life at St Joseph's.
Primary school sports and PE are also very important to the government, who are providing primary schools with additional Sports Premium funding from 2013 to 2021, to improve the provision of physical education and sport.
At St Joseph's we have identified several areas which we aim to improve and enhance through the Sports Premium funding. This in turn will help to raise pupil participation and achievement for every pupil at St Joseph's in sport and physical activity.
Our aims are:
- to improve the quality of teaching of PE across the school with help and assitance from trained and qualified coaches
- to further develop the outdoor and adventurous activities within the PE curriculum
- to increase the participation rates of all pupils in sporting activities
