School Meals, Milk & Fruit

Parents use the ParentPay App for all School Meal, Milk and Trip payments.  It is so easy to use this system to pay online and completely safe.
Parents can login online (see the above link) or ask the office for a barcoded letter which you can use to pay at a PayPoint store

We are a CASH FREE school and all payments should be made by the above means.

If you have not already got your login and password details for ParentPay, please contact the school office.

SCHOOL MEALS & PACKED LUNCHES (from home)

Our School Meals system is flexible and allows children to bring a packed lunch home when you prefer.  No need for any phone calls to the office - if your child would prefer a packed lunch some days that is fine and no notice period is required.  Your child will select their meal choice for the day or that they have brought a packed lunch from home on our Appetite system.

HUTCHISON CATERING SCHOOL MENU

Use the link below to view our current 3 weekly menu.  There is a lot of choice each day and also vegetarian options.  If your child has any dietary requirements then it is very important that you let us know.  This may include food allergies / intolerances or any special religious diets and preferences.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS (FSM)

If you are in receipt of any benefits and feel that you would be eligible for Free School Meals, please click on the link below where you can find more information.
https://www.kirklees.gov.uk/beta/schools/free-school-meals.aspx

An application takes only a few minutes and if successful not only will your child receive FSM & Free Milk during their years at St Joseph's but we can also support you with contributions towards trips and uniform items.  If you need any help with this then please contact the school office.
We encourage all our parents to apply and if successful school also receive additional funding to further support your child's education.

UNIVERSAL INFANT FREE SCHOOL MEALS

All children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 receive universal free school meals.  Unlike Free School Meals (above), this offer does not depend on your household income or whether you receive any benefits.  Every child in these year groups is eligible to take up this offer which is funded by the Government. Being entitled to UIFSM does not necessarily mean you are entitled to the additional support that you could receive if you apply and are approved for FSM.

WATER

It is essential that you provide your child with a waterbottle to bring into school each day to keep your child hydrated.  Water is freely available at school and water bottles will be topped up in the warmer months.  Please make sure you clean the bottle each night and return to school with your child each day.

FRUIT

KS1 children receive a FREE piece of fruit each day introduced by the NHS and funded by the Government.
KS2 children should bring in a fruit snack each day - only fruit please - no other snacks are permitted.

We are a NUT FREE school

Please note when providing a Packed Lunch from home that we are a NUT FREE school due to children who suffer with severe nut allergies that may result in anaphylaxis.  If we notice that your child has an item that may contain nuts we will contact you to provide alternative items.  We remind you of the importance of this each week on our newsletter.
